How to enable speech dictation on your mobile


Reduce the time spent creating reports with our Speech-To-Text feature. If you are unable to locate the microphone icon on your phone/tablet's keyboard, follow the guide below to enable in your settings.


Speech-to-text


Enable dictation on iOS


  1. Go to your Apple device's settings (the cog wheel).
  2. Scroll down and click General.





  1. Towards the bottom of the page, click Keyboard.





  1. Next to Enable Dictation, slide the grey button to green.




  1. Click Enable Dictation. This will now add the microphone icon to your device's keyboard.





  1. Go back to the HelloReport app and click a description box or notes section.
  2. Tap on the microphone icon and begin speaking.





Enable dictation on Android


  1. Go to Settings in your Android device.
  2. Click General Management.




  1. Select Keyboard list and default.




  1. Ensure Samsung voice input is switched on.




  1. Go back to the HelloReport app and click a description box or notes section.
  2. Tap on the microphone icon located on your keyboard and begin speaking.
