# How to clear mobile app cache & mobile device updates

# Clear app cache on mobile & mobile device updates

You may be asked by a member of the team to clear your app cache. This article will explain how to do this in just a few steps.

|| If your app is using a high amount of storage, we recommend clearing your mobile app cache.

1. On your mobile app, select the green **Settings cog** in the top right corner.
2. Towards the bottom of the settings page, tap **Clear app cache**.
3. Please read the disclaimers before swiping **I understand the above**.
4. Tap **I understand - clear cache**.

||| Clearing the app cache will delete all photos on active reports. The reports themselves will not be deleted.


||| PLEASE NOTE: Hello Report prevents users from logging out of the app without uploading reports saved on a device, this will also show you how many reports are active. Updating the software on your device will automatically log you out of Hello Report - please upload reports first.
